This century-old steam train is still running on its original mountain track from Belgrave to Gembrook in the scenic Dandenong Ranges. Puffing Billy is a genuine relic of more leisurely days. An historic steam train still running regularly in the mountain district it was built to serve at the turn of the century. The Railway is the major survivor of four experimental lines used to develop rural areas in the early 1900s. Puffing Billy is now a major tourist attraction, its operation depending on hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
The TarraWarra Museum of Art Limited was established as a company limited by guarantee in October 2000. It is the first privately funded, significant public visual arts museum to be set up under the Australian Government’s philanthropic measures announced in March 1999. TWMA operates as a not-for-profit institution, with a charter to display Australian art from the second half of the twentieth century to the present day.

The former railway station at Yarra Junction is the home of the Upper Yarra Museum, which has been managed and run by the Upper Yarra Valley Historical Society since 1972. The station is in the heart of Yarra Junction, a busy regional centre. Next to the station are major recreational facilities, and the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail runs past it.
Yarra Valley Dairy is part of the property known as “Hubertswood”. Named after one of the early settlers and vignerons, Hubert de Castella, the property is now used for producing our fine quality farmhouse cheeses. Our Cheese Shop is located in the original 100 year old milking shed, right beside the cheese factory. We welcome visitors every day (except Christmas Day) between 10.30am and 5.00pm.
